Qustodio: A New Tool for Families to Monitor and Manage Your Child’s Online Activity

As part of our ongoing efforts to support digital safety, we’re excited to share that Fulton County Schools will launch Qustodio on October 20th, a free app that helps parents monitor and manage their child’s online activity. This tool gives families insight into how students use both district-issued and personal devices.

For district-issued devices:

  • Parents can see how much time their child spends online, which apps are being used, and what searches are conducted during the school day.
  • Families can also set time limits and restrictions outside of normal school hours to encourage healthy screen time habits.

For student personal devices (optional):

  • Parents can choose to install Qustodio on personal devices to monitor usage and set limits at home.
  • Fulton County Schools does not have any visibility or access to data from student or parent/guardian personal devices — that information is visible only to the parent or guardian who installs the app.

Please use this link: qustodio.com/my-school to begin Qustodio.  Please use your Parent Portal email address during the sign-up process.

Volunteers Needed for Student Snack Day - 10/31

We're looking for parent volunteers to help pass out snacks to students during 6th period lunch at AHS on Friday, October 31 at 12:30pm. Volunteers will meet in the cafeteria and assist in handing out small snacks to the students. Snacks will be provided by PTSA, we just need some helping hands to make the day for our Raiders!

AHS Foundation
Alpharetta High School Foundation - Volunteers Needed

The AHS Foundation needs some volunteers to help with a few things:

  1. Co-chair Giving Tuesday. We have the plans but need help in organizing and carrying out the events.
  2. Social Media person to help us create more awareness as we relaunch The Foundation.

Please call/text/email Ken Adcox if you can help us out. Neither position will require a large amount of time. These are not Board positions and will not require attending Board Meetings.

Help Upgrade the AHS Patio – Support Our Students on Giving Tuesday!

The Alpharetta High School Foundation is working to raise $15,000 to repair and upgrade the outdoor patio — the area behind the cafeteria where students eat lunch, socialize, and work on homework and projects. Many projects like this aren’t covered in the school budget, which is why the Foundation has stepped in to help.

We ask all families to consider donating to the Foundation. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so donations may be tax-deductible. To donate, please use:

  • the QR code below, or
  • click here

If your company offers a matching gift program, especially for Giving Tuesday, please check with them — it can double or even triple your impact! If your company does match, please forward that information to Marc Gelber at Marc@gelbers.com so we can share it with other employees.

No need to wait until Giving Tuesday — donations can be made at any time. With your help, we can reach our goal and create a better, safer, and more welcoming patio for all AHS students.

Envelope Draw Fundraiser at the October 31st Football Game!

Help us transform our school patio!

We’re excited to announce a special Envelope Draw fundraiser happening at the high school football game on Friday, October 31st. This fun and easy event invites supporters to choose an envelope marked with a number between $1 and $100. Whatever number you pick is the amount you donate — and every dollar goes directly toward our Patio Project!

Our goal is to raise $15,000 to help rehab the patio area behind the cafeteria, creating a more welcoming and functional space for students to gather, study, and relax.

Whether you donate $1 or $100, every contribution helps us reach our goal.

Please stop by our table at the game, pick an envelope, and help make a lasting improvement to our campus!

Let’s build something great — together!

For questions, reach out to Marc Gelber - Marc@Gelbers.com
