Spring Final Exams
LGPE Chorus

Our Select Women’s Ensemble and Chorale achieved superior ratings in both performance and sight-reading at this year’s LGPE! These students have been preparing diligently for weeks, and their hard work, dedication, and musical excellence truly shone on stage. We are incredibly proud of their outstanding accomplishment and the artistry they bring to our program.

Alpharetta Bands take home Superiors at State Evaluations!

This past week, Alpharetta Bands had three ensembles perform for state Large Group Performance Evaluations. Despite a challenging judging panel and aggressive programming, all three ensembles came away with Superior ratings (the highest rating possible). Congratulations to all AHS Band Students on your outstanding achievement - Go Raiders!

AHS Band Winter Teams Start Season Strong!

On Saturday February 21st, all three Alpharetta Band-sponsored winter teams began their season with a strong showing across their respective state circuits.

  • Alpharetta Cadet Winter Guard premiered their show “Love Me Not” to a great crowd at Denmark HS and won their class!

  • Alpharetta Varsity Winter Guard continued their season with a strong showing of their program “What Remains, What Becomes”, seeing their score jump 10 points and placing 6th in their class!

  • Alpharetta Indoor Percussion began the march to their first ever national finals appearance this April with a 1st place finish, premiering their program “To Listen is to Love” to a packed house at South Forsyth High School!

Be sure to catch all three winter teams at the annual Friends & Family Winter Showcase Friday, 3/13 in the AHS Gymnasium starting at 8:30pm.  Way to go Raiders!

AP Exam Volunteers Needed

Looking for an easy way to support our AP students?
We’re seeking parent volunteers to assist with AP exam supervision this spring! Your role is simple: be present for the full exam and help monitor students while they test. A head proctor will be in the room to guide you and answer any questions when you arrive.

This is one of the biggest testing operations of the year, and your help makes a huge difference!
Sign up by clicking here

If you have any questions, please reach out to Michelle Copeland at copelandm2@fultonschools.org.

Media Center Parent Volunteer (Interior Design)

We’re excited to announce a refresh of our Media Center and are seeking creative input from our school community. If you have experience in interior decorating—or simply enjoy designing warm, functional, and inviting spaces—we would love your ideas.

We are looking for a parent volunteer who can:

• Visit the Media Center to get a sense of the space

• Share ideas for layout, décor, and overall atmosphere

• Offer practical suggestions that align with a school environment

If you’re interested in contributing, please contact Jimmy McMahan, Media and Educational Tech Instructor, at mcmahanj@fultonschools.org to coordinate a time. Thank you for supporting our students and helping us create an inspiring learning environment!
