AHS Fine Arts Festival - April 1
AHS Junior / Senior Prom 2026

Date: Saturday, April 18, 2026

Location: Guardian Works  

775 Echo St NW, Atlanta, GA 30318  

Time: 8:00 – 11:00 pm 

Theme: Once Upon a Time  


Prom Tickets Sold Online via GoFan  

Ticket Dates & Prices:  

  • 3/1-3/31: $90 each
  • 4/14 – 4/17: $99 each   
  • 4/18: $100 per ticket   
  • NOTE: Juniors and seniors may purchase up to 2 tickets total (including 1 for themselves). Outside guests and underclassmen must attend with an AHS junior or senior and the AHS junior or senior must purchase their ticket for them. Outside guests or underclassmen cannot purchase a ticket. No refunds!! Students must bring their physical AHS student ID to prom.  

Court Nomination/Voting Dates (online form will be sent to Junior & Senior FCSTU emails):  

  • Nominations: 3/30 – 4/3  
  • Voting: 4/13 – 4/17  

If the AHS student’s guest does NOT attend AHS, the AHS student MUST fill out a guest permission form. Forms are available LINKED HERE and are due to be uploaded HERE by Friday, April 3.

AHS Orchestra Spring Concert


Bring the family, pack a picnic, and grab a few folding chairs to join us at Brooke Street Park for the AHS Orchestra’s spring concert Music in the Park. We’ll be playing music from your favorite bands, TV shows, and movies. 

  • Admission is free! 
  • Date & Time: May 7th 6:30-8:00pm

March Application Fee Waivers – Apply for Free! 

Seniors, great news! Our March Application Fee Waivers initiative is back again this year. Throughout the entire month of March, you can apply for free to participating colleges and universities across Georgia. 

Georgia Finance Commission partnered with the University System of Georgia, the Technical College System of Georgia, and several private institutions to remove financial barriers and help you confidently pursue your postsecondary plans—whether you're submitting your first applications or applying to back‑up schools

Throughout March, fee waivers will be live on GAfutures.org. Simply select participating institutions and submit your applications without paying an application fee

Students can now register for free SAT prep sessions offered through Applerouth Tutoring!

  • These sessions are completely free for AHS students.
  • Limited to 25 students per session — spots will fill quickly!

Retake Previously Failed Course

Fulton County Schools’ Summer Learning registration opens March 2, 2026.

Fulton County Schools offers three summer learning opportunities for high school students who need to retake a previously failed course:

  1. Face-to-Face Summer School (hosted at Innovation Academy)
  2. Fulton Virtual Learning Program  https://www.fultonschools.org/all-departments/academics/learning-teaching/virtual-learning/registration/fulton-virtual-summer-learning
  3. Fulton County Credit Recovery (hosted at Innovation High School)

Summer Dual Enrollment

Engage in summer enrichment by taking advantage of free college courses offered through Georgia's Dual Enrollment program! Students can get ahead and earn both college and high school credit! Visit AHS counseling DE website for more information and email your School Counselor to enroll yourself in the Dual Enrollment Canvas Classroom.

 

Summer Acceleration

Students may also accelerate their learning during the summer by taking a course for the first time through the Fulton Virtual (must remain in the US) or Georgia Virtual.  Tuition is required to take a course for the first time during the summer. As you consider your options, please keep in mind that one course is the equivalent of a semester-long class for a 0.5 credit.  Students are limited to taking:

*2 courses in Fulton Virtual (1 full credit total)

*Depending on student need, a student may be simultaneously enrolled in more than one summer learning option.

Class of 2026 Cap & Gown Pickup

If your senior was unable to pick up their cap and gown on March 24, they can pick it up from Suite 1255 BEFORE or AFTER school (beginning 7:45am and until 3:45pm). If your senior has issues with the gown size or fit, please contact 3rd Ascent directly at 770-594-8155.

The AHS Foundation's graduation seat auction is back, exclusively for Class of 2026 families. 

  • Five reserved rows.  One winning family per row.  

Bidding opens Saturday, April 11.  Look for your launch email with details on how to bid, support your graduate and AHS!

Senior Games - 4/1

Hey, parents! Were you inspired by all of the excitement of the 2026 Winter Olympics? Bring that enthusiasm to campus! 

Planning is underway for the 2026 Senior Games coming up in just over a month. Seniors get to be dismissed early to attend this fun day on the football field. We need volunteers at several stations to make it a success.

Silver Envelopes


Silver Envelopes: The collection window is now open!

Envelopes will be distributed to each graduate after graduation practice in May.

  • How to Participate: Write a note to your senior and encourage family and friends to do the same. Please keep all items flat (8.5” x 11” or smaller) and do not include cash or gift cards.

  • Deadline: All letters must be received by Friday, April 24.

  • Drop-off Locations:

    • AHS Front Office

    • Park Forest (335 May Apple Court)

    • Windward (2050 Lake Shore Landing)

    • Or mail to: Alpharetta HS PTSA, P.O. Box 4994, Alpharetta, GA 30023 (Ensure the student’s full legal name is on the envelope).
