Parents and families are invited to attend a Canvas Information Session to learn more about Canvas and how it supports student learning. Sessions will be offered on the following dates:

• August 20 at 12:00 p.m.
• August 20 at 7:00 p.m.
• August 25 at 9:00 a.m.
• August 31 at 7:00 p.m.

WELCOME FROM THE AHS FOUNDATION

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year from the AHS Foundation! The AHS Foundation (AHSF) is a dynamic 501(c)(3) nonprofit, partnering with the entire Raider community to support the four pillars of Alpharetta High School and foster a culture of excellence.
 
The AHS Foundation works alongside the Student Governance Council (SGC), Alpharetta High School Athletic Association (AHSAA), and Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) to serve students, staff and the larger school community. Through inclusive fundraising initiatives, the Foundation provides meaningful resources including: 

• scholarships for continuing education; 
• instructional grants and professional development for educators; 
• staff recognition to support retention; 
• impactful school-based programming; and 
• enhancements to campus facilities and equipment.

Two weeks in and the AHS Foundation has already been busy providing the final funds for improvements to the student patio space outside the media center and cafeteria and hosting the annual Parking Space Auction. Special thanks to the families who so kindly and generously participated in the auction, and congratulations to the nine winners who will enjoy reserved parking for the next year!

Senior Class Meeting

Wednesday, August 19^th in the AHS Auditorium during 3^rd period

Wednesday, August 19^th in the AHS Auditorium beginning at 6:00 pm.

Come learn how to support your student through senior year, the college application process, and learn about the Georgia HOPE Career Grant and how it covers 100% of tuition for eligible students pursuing specific certificate, diploma, or degree programs in high-demand industries like healthcare, welding, automotive technology, and computer tech through the Technical College System of Georgia.

Attention Juniors and Seniors!

Representatives from the University of Georgia (UGA) will be visiting Alpharetta High School on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 3:30 PM to share information about admissions, academics, campus life, and opportunities at UGA. 

If you are interested in learning more about UGA, we encourage you to register using the link provided in the invitation email from UGA Admissions. Pre-registration helps UGA prepare for the visit and ensures they have enough materials available for students.

The AHS PTSA is committed to supporting students, teachers, and families through enrichment programs, mini-grants, campus improvements, communications, hospitality, and volunteer opportunities. Your support makes a difference! Donate, volunteer, and help us continue creating meaningful opportunities for the AHS community.

National PTA has a long-standing commitment to arts education. The Reflections program provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts which boost student confidence and success in the arts and in life.

Each year, over 300,000 students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response to a student-created theme. This 50+ year-old program helps them explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence, and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life.

2026-2027 Reflections theme: “What My Culture Means to Me”! The key to the Reflections program is the student interpreting the prompt any way they want to - this is theirs to think about and express however they desire!

The deadline for 2026 - 2027 HS PTSA submissions will be Friday October 9th.

Are you passionate about math and looking for a way to get involved?

Mu Alpha Theta, the Math National Honor Society, offers students opportunities to compete, tutor, volunteer, participate in fun events, and build leadership skills. 

Eligible students can apply for membership by Monday, August 24th.

Junior and Senior students in good standing can join Prom Committee!

Meetings will take place monthly, on Wednesdays. There will be 7-8 meetings and attendance is required at all meetings + 1 outreach initiative per student to be eligible for Prom Committee Incentives. This application will close 8/20 and application status will be sent out 8/21.
