UGA prefers transcripts sent directly through students' GA Futures accounts because they integrate more seamlessly with UGA's application system. Students can request transcripts through GA Futures. Counselors will continue sending transcripts through SchooLinks/Common App, as those platforms automatically distribute transcripts to colleges.

There is a common misconception that senior skip days are automatically excused absences. This is not correct.

Senior skip days are not school-approved events and are not considered excused absences. Students who choose to miss school on these days will be marked absent according to district attendance policies.

Additionally, these absences do not qualify for remote learning, make-up attendance, or pre-approved absences simply because they coincide with a senior skip day.

Students are expected to attend all scheduled classes and school activities unless they have an approved excused absence that meets district guidelines.

🎓 North Fulton College Fair at Alpharetta High School!

Students and families are invited to attend the North Fulton College Fair on Tuesday, September 15th at Alpharetta High School. Meet with representatives from 100+ colleges and universities, explore postsecondary opportunities, and get your questions answered.

The graduation fee is mandatory for seniors who plan to attend the ceremony in May at Ameris Bank Amphitheatre (date TBD, usually announced in February). The fee includes your cap & gown, tassel, diploma cover, class pin, the venue, tickets, programs, etc.

Please note: the graduation fee is separate from the PTSA Senior Events dues that include the Class of 2027 yard sign and other senior events. Click here to pay the Senior Events dues.

Instructions to pay the graduation fee:

• Visit www.3rdascent.com 

• Select Alpharetta from the dropdown menu (you will also need to complete this step the first time you visit the website)

• Click on Cap & Gown Packages

• 3^rd Ascent offers multiple packages with different items. The package that is required is the "Build Your Own Package"

• Please be sure to enter your senior's name and information during checkout

Beginning August 20th, the fee will increase based on the following schedule:

• August 20-September 30: $195

• October 1 - November 30: $215

• December 1-March 19: $235 (must pay by this date in order to pick up cap & gown at school on March 23)

The fee will remain $235 after March 19, but students will have to pick up their order from 3^rd Ascent's office. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Kelly Talele at talelek@fultonschools.org.

Legacy Studio Yearbook Photos - These sittings are at Legacy Studios in Sandy Springs:

• September 26-27
• October 24-25
• November 7-8 

The photos in the AHS Graduation Gown are used for the AHS Yearbook. 

Please remember that only portraits taken by our official yearbook photographer, Legacy Studios, will be accepted for inclusion in the senior section of the yearbook. The sitting fee for the Yearbook package only can be refunded. See the Legacy website for details. If your student has already had their senior portrait taken through the official photographer, no further action is needed.

Show your senior how proud you are with a senior recognition ad. Space is limited and available on first come basis. Don't wait, order today!
