Way to go AHS!
Important Dates
Curriculum Night

Curriculum Night is Thursday, September 7th at 7:00pm.

More information, including the timeline for the event, can be found on the AHS website here.

Please have access to your student’s class schedule and report directly to the 1st period class by 7:00pm. If your student does not have a 1st period class on campus at AHS, you can simply plan to arrive in time to be at the second (third, etc.) period class instead. You may access your child’s schedule through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.

If at any time throughout the night, your student does not have an AHS class scheduled during a specific period, we invite you to visit our Media Center. This is an amazing learning space for our students and will be a comfortable place for you to wait for the next period to begin. One of our AHS counselors will be sharing important information related to dual enrollment throughout the evening.

Thank you for all of the support you provide to our school. We look forward to seeing you all on Thursday evening for Curriculum Night.

Signs of Suicide

During the month of September, we are dedicated to teaching students ACT- Acknowledge, Care and Tell. Knowing the signs of suicide, understanding the importance of practicing self-care or showing a friend you care, and understanding when to tell are all the first steps to saving a life.  For the 2023-2024 school year counselors, social workers and psychologists are tasked with conducting Signs of Suicide lessons for 6th and 9th grade students during the month of September. AHS Counselors will be pushing into 9th Grade Algebra and Geometry Honors classrooms to deliver the lesson.  An email with instructions to view content or to optout was sent to all parent emails.

AHS PTSA is proud to publish bi-monthly newsletters that showcase our school, opportunities for engagement, and updates for our AHS families. This is one of the many ways your PTSA Membership supports our community. Please join the PTSA today so we can continue this great resource and more.

Summit Counseling

As a parent, you want what is best for your child, but it is not always easy to know what type of support they need. Mental health therapy helps students better understand their personal needs and learn new skills to manage life situations and relationships more effectively.  Summit Counseling has partnered with Alpharetta H.S. to provide support during the school day through our on-site therapist Bailey Little. Visit our website to learn more about individual and group services.  School-Based Mental Health - The Summit Counseling Center

September is Attendance Awareness Month

The importance of staying connected.

Staying connected with learning.

Staying connected to your friends.

Staying connected now for your future.

MSMO = Missing School = Missing Out

Questions to consider while asking yourself "Should I go to school?"

  • Do you have challenges with attendance? Why or why not?
  • Is attendance important? Why or why not?
  • What leads to dropping out of school?
  • How can you reverse your academic performance?
  • What empowers you to come to school?
  • Will a high number of absences stop you from securing the “BAG?”
  • Would you show up if/when you become the “BOSS?”

We are here to support all of our students! If you have any questions or want to talk about this more, please contact our amazing Yanic Jean-Jacques, AHS Social Worker at jacquesy@fultonschools.org.
