OPPORTUNITIES TO LEARN MORE

OCTOBER 9 (rescheduled from SEPTEMBER 25) - Mr. Fortunato will host our monthly IB Community Meeting on October 9th at 6:00pm in the AHS Media Center. The topical focus will be “What is IB?”—this meeting is great for sophomore parents who may want to consider how IB could benefit your student!

Students and parents can schedule individual meetings with Mr. Fortunato to discuss IB and create a “road map” of what courses would look like. Visit the AHS IB webpage and select “Schedule a Meeting” from the menu or use the following link to go directly to the
booking page.  More information about the Diploma Programme can be found on the AHS IB webpage.

If you have any questions about International Baccalaureate or the 2025-26 Statement of Intent, email Mr. Fortunato: fortunatof@fultonschools.org.

PTSA Membership Drive Update
AHS PTSA Reflections 2024-2025 Call for Entries - Deadline Friday October 18th!

The National PTA has a long-standing commitment to arts education. The Reflections program provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts which boost student confidence and success in the arts and in life.

Each year, over 300,000 students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response to a student-created theme. This 50+ year-old program helps them explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life.

The 2024-2025 Georgia PTA Reflections program theme is Accepting Imperfection... The key to the Reflections program is the student interpreting the prompt any way they want to - this is theirs to think about and express however they desire!

The deadline for 2024-2025 AHS PTSA submissions will be Friday October 18th.

Submissions should be brought to the AHS Media Center and placed in the labeled bin along with a completed Reflections Entry Form.
