Course Registration Process for the 2026-2027 School Year

Students are recommended by their current teachers for courses based on specific criteria. Based on school data, the AHS Indicators of Success (the school’s prerequisite requirements) reflect skills and levels of achievement needed for success in a desired course. Proper academic placement is essential for academic success.

It is imperative that students and parents take time to select the appropriate schedule for next year. Selection of a student’s high school courses should be done carefully as proper course placement is essential to a student’s success!  Parents should work with their students to develop a balanced schedule for next year, taking into consideration extracurricular activities, jobs, community service, family obligations, and rest. By creating a balanced schedule, students are more likely to find success and enjoy their high school experience.

Therefore, students and parents are advised to consult the Alpharetta High School Course Catalog accessible via the AHS website, to inform them of their course selections for the upcoming academic year. It is the responsibility of each student and parent to thoroughly investigate and consider courses of interest.

Parents and students should view the courses recommended by the students’ current teachers for the 2026-2027 school year in the Campus Parent or Student portal:

  • In the portal, select “More” in the menu to the left.
  • Select “Course Registration.”
  • Click “26-27 Alpharetta High School”
  • View Student Course Requests
  • If you do not have a parent portal account, view on your student’s portal or email Donna Byrd, AHS Registrar for access to the Infinite Campus Parent portal at byrdd@fultonschools.org

If you would like to submit changes or additions to your students’ course requests, please complete the Course Request Verification Form via the following link or CR Code by Friday, February 6th:

Volunteers needed for AP Exams

Looking for an easy way to support our AP students?

We’re seeking parent volunteers to assist with AP exam supervision this spring! Your role is simple: be present for the full exam and help monitor students while they test. A head proctor will be in the room to guide you and answer any questions when you arrive.

This is one of the biggest testing operations of the year, and your help makes a huge difference! Please note: volunteers must have completed the FCS Volunteer Registration in order to sign up. If you have any questions, please reach out to Michelle Copeland at copelandm2@fultonschools.org.
